The practice uses slightly different approaches to HSP and Empath coaching, taking these neurological differences into account when providing relationship and mourning counselling or devising strategies to deal with technostress.

Highly sensitive people perceive the world more vividly through their five senses, because their neural network acts as a gigantic antennae, influencing every aspect of their existence.

The first stage in empath coaching is to build a personal foundational framework of how your body responds to various impulses:

  • What do you actually see?
  • How do you listen to your surroundings?
  • How do odours affect you?
  • What way does nutrition influence you?
  • What do you perceive when you touch something or someone?

Once you’ve categorised all of these factors more accurately, you can begin to investigate how they affect you. What motivates you or drains your energy?  Doesn’t that allow you to actually use your intuition to make conscious decisions about when to slow down, push through, or walk away from a potentially dangerous situation?

Some things cannot be explained solely scientifically, and I address that issue through simple, fundamental principles of holistic coaching.

The sponge effect is an essential component of empathetic talents. The ability to absorb vibrations from their surroundings, regardless of source, influences their emotional experiences in either a favourable or bad way.

When you can fully accept your unique abilities, the combination of all parts of being an HSP or empath makes you genuinely special.  That is ultimately what empath coaching stands for. There’s more to it than this description.

Relationships always have been, are and will always be a fundamental part of life.
 
Frequently misconceptions or misinterpretations amongst friends, partners, and family are just the result of ‘not’ knowing or misunderstanding how HSP and empaths interact with people. Mostly because even they aren’t not aware of their strengths and vulnerabilities.

Being a HSP and empath has a significant impact on various aspects of life, including social interactions and relationships. Typically, they go through a more intense grief process. Sometimes displaying stronger raw emotional reactions that are unintelligible to others.

Bereavement counselling that incorporates all components of HSP and empathic coaching can have a significant impact on recovery. The five-step approach has been somewhat modified to reflect the realities of life.

  1. Practical implications: Grief triggers often have material consequences. These are and shall remain critical in our modern culture, and we must all make the required measures to lay a solid foundation on which to live.
  2. The emotional process: Everyone who is faced with loss must deal with the emotional adjustments to the situation. Referring to the five stages of mourning will help you determine your emotional condition.
  3. Redefine your identity Mourning can fundamentally alter one’s personality. Understanding the opportunities for learning that come with grieving is one aspect of the process. Who you are today is determined by how you incorporate these teachings into your life.
  4. Rebuild your life The majority of the grieving process is completed by regaining your identity. This phase has a significant impact on your everyday life, social contacts, and relationships, which can be difficult for everyone. Consciously examining this stage allows you to make the required changes to your life.
  5. Look ahead in a practical manner You’ve been through a life-changing era; how would it feel to have something to look forward to? That is precisely what this step defines. Creating opportunity for prosperity after surviving while minimising possible distress.

In the last few centuries, humanity has industrialised the planet. Advancements in technology have been profoundly integrated into everyday life, having a significant influence on people’s lives.

HSPs and empaths are not immune to the impacts of this advancement.
Most of us have been using computers, cell phones, and tablets for some years. For some people, their inability to utilise and understand technology causes irritation. Others can be overwhelmed by the different alerts.

In rare cases, the sensory impulses of home appliances are truly disrupting everyday patterns such as sleep or making it difficult to relax, resulting in chronical stress. Furthermore, a minority of people are susceptible to the effects of wireless signals, which can cause physical discomfort such as headaches or worse. Others are unable to drive in electric vehicles simply due to the magnetic fields produced by the engine.

There aren’t many coaches that have expertise in this matter. My background and work experience as an ICT Consultant distinguishes me in this sector.

Who is the driving force behind the practice?

My name is Patrick, and I have founded the Sweetharmony Happiness Coaching practice in 2020.

Like other HSPs and empaths, I used to wrestle with my skills in everyday life.

Mainstream coaching and therapy treatments tend to find it challenging to relate and support this group of people, who roughly represent 20% of the global population.

Thanks to a thorough study, I was able to break free from prior behaviours by fundamentally investigating, trying, and finally using several coping strategies in various areas on myself.

The be-all and the end-all, the results of that research has sparked me to launch this business to support others in their quest.
